Cngratulations Aaron High School Graduate

Robin's youngest son Aaron graduated from Doctors Charter School a part of Barry University in Miami Shores Florida last night, June 7, 2011. Nominated Most Likely to Arrive Late at his graduation he was absolutely adoreable. Commiserating over the Miami Heat's 4th game of the NBA Finals loss at the celebration dinner, he ate, drank and was very merry with friends, girlfriend Danina and family at Gordon Biersch Brewery on Brickel Avenue in Downtown Miami. The loss was a bummer but the celebration was spectacular.

Congratulations Aaron as you are now a freshman at Florida International University.

We love you and all the best!

Collectively We Do Make Difference

This week I received an inspiring email from my dear friend and past Amnesty group leader, Maria Marchegiani, informing me that one of the political prisoners, Ma Kihn Kihn Leh, we gathered signatures for at a Dave Matthews concert was freed. In Maria's words I am reminded that, "collectively we do make a difference".

Thank you, Maria. You Light The Way.

Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure

Today was an amazing experience for me. I had signed up to raise money for and participate in the Susan G. Komen breast cancer fundraising event here in South Florida.

Among the 19,000 people who came to support the effort, I couldn't find my friends. So I gave my donation and walked the walk.

Alone, among the 19,000 strong, I felt glad to be a part of the fight against disease and enjoyed experiencing my feelings, knowing that such a diverse city can come together as one community to bring about so much good.
