ROBIN AVERY WITH WOMEN IN JAZZ OF SOUTH FLORIDA-PRESS RELEASE

This May, as part of Women in Jazz of South Florida, singer songwriter and recording artist, Robin Avery, will be participating in Community Musicwomen, funded by a Broward Cultural Council grant. She will be a presenter on the Busness of Music Panel Discussion, May 8, 2010 at 12 noon - 4 PM at ArtServe, 1350 E Sunrise Blvd., Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.

On Saturday, May 15th from 5 - 9 PM, Robin will perform at the Jamaica Hill Jazz Jam onstage in front of Rice Bowl, 4080 NW 12th Street, Ft. Lauderdale.

Walker Elementary School of the Performing Arts will be the site for student mentoring of girls struggeling with behavioral and or achievements challenges. The purpose of this discussion is to examine the importance of self-esteem and self-discipline in the music industry along with career goals and visions, and details about the music industry. This event takes place Wednesday, May 26th from 10 - 11 AM.
